Sunday evening after a movie at PVR forum mall, we decided to have a drink so TGI Fridays it is. I don’t know if it me or it the same with everyone but everytime I go here I see the service is super slow. We go inside and the guys in TGIF uniforms go past us but don’t bother asking if we were looking for a seat. I understand that the place was full on a Sunday happy hours evening but a big franchisee like TGIF should be ready for this.
Finally we go and ask this guy if they have a table for two. So they offer us a table and apologize for our table being right behind the kitchen. So once seated and given the menu we actually were waiting for someone to come and take the order so after a whole 15-20 mins we ordered a beer and a cocktail that had lime orange and rum, could not taste the rum, all I could taste was orange juice.
For starters we ordered spicy chicken wings, taste was good, the good old new York style wings. The Bleu cheese sauce served along with it was pathetic. The wings tasted better off without the sauce. And then we had a ultimate Jack Daniel burger( that’s the name of the burger) the menu says it’s glazed with Jack Daniel’s sauce served with classic fixing side of Jack Daniel’s sauce and fries. The burger was huge in size, well I wish I could say the taste was as good as it looked. Neither I could taste Jack Daniel on the meat patty nor did they serve the sauce along with it as it says in the menu. All I could taste was sweet caramelized onion. I didn’t bother asking for the sauce cause I didn’t want to wait for the server knowing they take forever to attend.
TGI Fridays never ceases to disappoint me. I have been going to this place since 2010 thinking every time the next time maybe be better but guess one can only hope. Just the music and happy hours are the plus point for this place.
