An impromptu dinner plan for a friend’s birthday treat and craving for barbecue lands us at sahib’s barbecue.
“Hyderabadi Dawat Har Roz” the line does complete justice to this nawabi themed restaurant we went in quite early around 7 on a Monday
Greeted with an aadhab when we step in ohri’s hospitality irrespective of which restaurant is always good, so quickly seated we were served the welcome drink some rose flavored not exactly something I like asked if they had anything else got a sweet lime soda and my friends went for coke.
The ambience was really nice too bad there wasn’t any live music that day, so the starters were served the first one was the lukmi both veg and non veg one word “Fantastic”. A veggie in the group said apart from lukmi the other starters were just okay. So the barbecue starts and there was chicken kabab prawns and sheekh kabab and for my veggie friend there was paneer and pineapple and mushrooms she dint really enjoy the barbecue just a suggestion since the options are limited for vegetarians why not have like potatoes stuffed with paneer or cheese stuffed potatoes vegetarian usually love cheese and I know almost everyone likes potatoes but not everyone prefers roasted pineapple and mushrooms.
Anyways coming to the non veg I really liked the sheekh kabab and shikhampur was perfect and my friend literally couldn’t get over the prawns the taste was amazing and the giant naan served with the barbecue went really well with the sheekh kabab. By the time we were done with starters I really dint have much space left for main course but I saw haleem then in a min I was serving myself some haleem with roasted onions and lemon wedges the flavor and consistency was lovely. My friend tried the biryani said it was okay dint try the gravies there went for dessert they had a lot of options in dessert there’s halwa and double ka meetha and rasmalai and khubani ka meetha and 4 flavours of ice-cream and a unique guntur chill ice cream everyone should try this one won’t be disappointed, and the last and the best was the jauzi halwa served in a closed glass jar with smoke “Mind-blowing” special mention to the guy serving our table put up his pic excellent service double thumbs up for him. Overall a really good experience will definitely go again
