Jonathan’s Kitchen – Holiday Inn Express Review

Heard a lot about Jonathan’s kitchen and Komatose from friends, so was here on Saturday for a tasting session, a new menu “Grill & Chill” so 70+ items on the menu there’s barbecued food and wok tossed and buffet spread along with liquor and all this for 1500 Al, and for non drinkers it’s just 1000 rs AL. Usually when so much is being offered for such a low price we tend to get skeptical but trust me the food literally was a perfect mood lifter and the cocktails just added to Saturday evening getting perfect.

The barbecue was done in open air we were seated in a cabana with live music going on, the food kept coming in and this being their first night with the new menu I think they managed pretty well, and coming to the food almost everything offered was cooked to perfection the barbecued, tandoor and wok but would like to make a special mention for the Basil pesto chicken,Tawa fish and dragon prawns from the wok, also everyone present was going bonkers over pav bhaji which was authentic Delhi wala chaat and my friend was literally drooling over the minute steak and could not stop talking about how perfectly it was done.

Hogging on so much of barbecue and wok stirred food I thought I go try some salads and usually when in a buffet the salad are the least tried things on the menu and they are not really up to the mark but the Greek salad with mesclun lettuce here was so fresh and delicious yup I could actually say delicious and you have to try to out yourself to understand what I’m saying. And the cocktails specially “the sloth” and “lust”  were amazing and the bartender Santosh made us some amazing shots rainbow was my personal favorite. Coming back to food the pizza was decent, mutton rogan josh was succulent and full of flavor kadai murgh was ok needs more flavor and less capsicum, Now coming to my favorite section the desserts.

They had a decent layout not a big fan of moong dal halwa, the jalebi with rabri makes you drool but the show stealer for me was the blueberry cheesecake coming from someone who doesn’t eat cheesecake this was truly a taste that stays on you for like a really long time.

Overall amazing ambiance courteous staff and mind blowing food. Definitely going back here.
