Saw a friend post about the ongoing seafood festival at flechazo and the pics looked mesmerizing. Seafood is something I cannot resist so I find myself planning to visit the place asap went on a Friday around 9:30 after waiting for a good 12-15 mins got a seat the place was full to the brink so yay I’m not the only person who goes crazy gaga over seafood. The starters has lamb kebab, grilled shark which was being referred to as fish fry, crab fry along with prawns and squid.
The lamb was good although I couldn’t get a refill since the service was haywire that day had three different people coming and asking want to be repeated and none of them actually got anything correct. I din’t try the shark my friend did said it’s the best among the lot. The crab was decent would have tasted better with some masala rubbed on it rather then the plain fry. Squid was really good and prawns were served with some really spicy tomato based semi gravy when asked if they have anything else in prawns got me deep fried battered prawns which went well with the cocktail.
The main course had clams in laska gravy which is just the gravy left. Grilled fish in creamy lemon caper sauce tasted really good. The Moroccon seafood biryani was okay din’t find it a tad different from the regular biryani. But the star of the evening for me was the mutton kolhapuri I know seafood festival and I’m saying mutton but trust me this was the best dish and went really well with the butter naan. They also have make your own pizza which I couldn’t try. They also had octopus sushi which my friend tried din’t like it I had the chicken momo which was decent.
Since it was past 10:30 by the time we went for desserts most of them were over. Tasted Gulab jamun and poached pears along with their signature nitrogen ice-cream which tasted decent more of a experience looking at it being made than having it. Macaroons were amazing.
I’m sure they would be compared to the likes of abs the service really needs to be upscaled, although they did make an effort to dance for a kid celebrating his b’day which was a good effort to make the customer happy they need to be sorted on who’s attending which table. Overall a decent experience will I be going again maybe to try their regular menu.
