Friday evening thinking of a new place to visit and my charming friend takes me to 84 anjuna shack knowing my love for anything goan. Easy to navigate through Google maps for this place we landed here around 7:30 the place had people in two other tables we chose to sit inside and we were handed the menu. They had goan food festival going on the other menu with Continental stuff didn’t really grab my attention. So we ordered rawa fish and one goan fish thali along with one citrus based drink don’t remember the name and one mojito. While we wait for the food we were told it’s movie night and they had a projector and the movie to be played was into the wild I really liked the whole theme a book shelf to grab and read a book if you’re waiting for someone or play jenga or chess or uno with friends somewhere you could actually relax.
And now comes the food the rawa fish has pin bones though it tasted like rohu the guy said its Murrell and the fish thali had the same rawa fish piece and one vegetable curry fish curry and prawn curry along with sour tasting gravy and some pickle so to be frank I had a lot of expectations and was fairly disappointed with food and my drink since I ordered just a mojito and they got me a ginger mojito which tasted way too bitter for me. Since they are pretty new gonna cut some slack for this time. Maybe the Continental food would be better the next visit would be trying those.
So yeah 84 anjuna shack is a place where you want to have some good time play chill and rewind and if they work on the food would definitely be a hit.
